Just 45 minutes from Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas off New Providence Island sits a very special treat for divers: an ocean Blue Hole.

Formed during the Ice Age, the Blue Hole is a freshwater spring that gushes out of the underwater limestone to produce a unique, self-contained ecosystem surrounded by shallow reef.

The Blue Hole extends to over 250 feet deep and is filled with wide cavern-like crevices where divers can swim in to see lobsters and small reef fish that find shelter there.

Marine life is always abundant at the Blue Hole with water temperatures in the 70's. Caribbean Reef Sharks and Nurse Sharks cruise the area year-round. In spring and summer, the warmer waters attract schooling docile Atlantic Sharp nose Sharks and large populations of colorful fish.

Suitable for divers of all levels, Stuart Cove's trip to the Blue Hole is a unique experience sure to be etched in your memory long after the ink fades in your log book.
