TOMY Plarail Pokemon Pichu Bros train set Unboxing review and first run
Hi Guys and Gals Here we have a special train from Takara TOMY Plarail its the Pokemon Pichu Bros set (Sorry I know very little about Pokemon and I called Pichu Pikachu) Perhaps check out my brothers channel here: \r

Anyway back to the train I bought it on ebay for around $50 it came shipped from HK, The set contains a playmat and a loop of track with 4 regular straight pieces and The train itself which is the locomotive and a carriage/coach/car.\r

The Locomotive is very similar in design to the early Plarail Disney trains from Hong Kong Disneyland, This of course has a much more modern drive system than the 2x Disney trains I have yet to make videos of. The train runs on a single AA battery wich is located in the coal compartment in the rear of the locomotive, The train runs almost silently and with a good speed it has no problems getting around the track on my railway (except for one derailment that was not the trains fault), The train presents very well with Charers from pokemon mounted on the train and bright colors throughout which ties in well with the cartoon its based on. There was one sticker on the side of the cab that was not quite straight but its of little concern.\r

The passenger car roof is removable to hold 6 plakids although the set comes with 2 (it should come with 6 IMHO and one of them an Ash). Pokemon was at its peak here in this country about 15 years ago with allot of kids collecting/trading the cards and playing the games, its hard to say its died off because to me it seems there are still allot of pokemon products in stores here to this day it remains very popular. \r

I think a worthwhile set and an easy way to get an Old timey looking American locomotive of which the other plarail versions can run into the hundreds of dollars.\r

Sorry I do not know enough about Pokemon to name the monsters featured on the Train and playmat but perhaps a diehard fan can fill in the Gaps in the Comments :)\r
