Wall Street ended on a high note,... following President Trump's announcement of his import tariffs on steel and aluminum.
Seeming relieved about that clarification with regard to Mexico and Canada,... all three major indices finished strong,... with the Dow Jones adding zero-point-4 percent to 24,894.
The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq also rose about the same percentage amount to close at 2,738-point-9 and 7,427 respectively.
Shares in Korea also finished higher on Thursday as investment sentiment revived on hopes of smaller U.S. tariffs,... added with some investors scooping up bio-related stocks.
The benchmark KOSPI was up over one-percent to close at 2,433,.. while the KOSDAQ was up over one-and-a-half percent at 853-point-9.
