Following-up from the special envoys' trip to the U.S. last week, Seoul's foreign minister, Kang Kyung-wha, will visit Washington on Thursday.
The foreign ministry confirmed that during the three day trip, she will meet with her U.S. counterpart Rex Tillerson... to discuss the upcoming talks with North Korea and how to handle them.
The ministry said they will also talk about economic and trade relations, including issues such as the U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs that are set to come into place in two weeks.
Kang is also set to meet with other senior Washington officials during her stay... while Seoul's nuclear envoy, Lee Do-hoon, will arrive a day earlier to prepare for the meetings.
