ரிசர்வ் வங்கி அதிகாரிகள் ஏன் திருப்பதி கோயிலில் உண்டியல் பணம் எண்ண செல்லக்கூடாது என்று ப. சிதம்பரம் கேள்வி எழுப்பி இருக்கிறார். பணமதிப்பிழப்பு நடவடிக்கையின்போது கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட பணம் எண்ணப்பட்டு வருவதாக கூறியதற்கு ப. சிதம்பரம் பதில் அளித்துள்ளார்.

சென்ற வருடம் நவம்பர் மாதம் 8ம் தேதி திடீர் என்று பணமதிப்பிழப்பு நடவடிக்கை செய்யப்பட்டது. இதன் காரணமாக அப்போது வழக்கத்தில் இருந்த 500 மற்றும் 1000 ரூபாய் நோட்டுகள் அனைத்தும் செல்லாது என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
