How to Stylize a Song, Part 3: Arpeggios

  • il y a 6 ans
Part 3 of 3: Composer Suzannah Doyle shows how to create arpeggios of chords in both hands on piano to create soft, flowing styles of music (common in Celtic or New Age styles). Part 1 (previous video) shows how to think in chords in both hands and use rhythmic contrast to create a songs feel, and Part 2 (previous video) demonstrates how to create cool bass lines by thinking chords in both hands. Great for beginners learning how to make piano chord playing sound relaxed and natural!\r

All of these apply to any chord you play, and gives you tools to start creating different styles and feels in your piano playing. These ideas are built on those presented in Piano Dreams: The Movie by Suzannah Doyle & Lyris Cooper.\r
