China developing mosquito radar with military tech
BEIJING — New radar technology can track the flight path of a mosquito from a mile away, claim Chinese scientists.
The device uses technology from China's missile defence system, reports the South China Morning Post, citing an unidentified researcher. A prototype is being tested at the Beijing Institute of Technology.
The device can reportedly identify which species a mosquito belongs to as well as its gender, flight speed and direction.
