The People's Bookstore and Cafe specialises in books that are banned in China and has carved out a niche for itself in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay selling books on sensitive topics to visitors from mainland China, but the wider market for books that shed light on Chinese history and politics has become hugely important for Hong Kong's publishing industry.
