3 Former Michigan State Basketball Players Accused
of Rape A new lawsuit filed on Monday details one woman’s account of the alleged rape and accuses the school of failing to comply with Title IX requirements. Neither the woman or the players were named in the suit. According to the lawsuit, the woman was a student at the university on April 12, 2015 when she was raped by the players at an off-campus house. When she told the counseling center that players were involved, the staff reportedly made it clear that "she faced an uphill battle that would create anxiety and unwanted media attention." The lawsuit states Michigan State is also still dealing with the fallout surrounding the Larry Nassar sexual assault scandal.
