Hey guys! Once again, this is moreso a timelapse than an ual tutorial. Heres some more information about the process;\r
I started out with a base of black polymer clay which was lightly dusted with pealEx pigment. That base was then prebaked.\r
Once it had cooled, I used acrylic paints to paints (Jo Sonjas) to paint the image of the mermaid. I ually used a hair-model for referrence to get the facial details in place, then freestyled to give her the look I wanted. I applied water based glaze a couple of times during the painting process to be able to see the true colors and to smooth everything out.\r
Lastly I mixed my glaze with pearlEx pigment to add a few more details.\r
I then created the frame around the cameo and decorated with nuggets of genuine aquamarine.\r
I baked that for 5-10 minutes, took it out of the oven and applied fimo deco gel to the front and back,. baked that for approx 15 minutes.\r
Once that had cooled I added the final details using acrylic paint, swellegant silver metal coating, gilders wax in patina and glaze.\r
