THE INTERNET — YouTube tutorials are helpful for a lot of things. Keloid scar removal probably isn't one of them.

Keloids are heaped up scars that are the result of an overgrowth of granulation tissue at the site of a healed skin injury which is then slowly replaced by collagen.

According to a new and not very safe genre of tutorials on YouTube, basically all you need is a scar, a rubber band — and ideally a lower than average IQ.

The idea is that you cut off the blood supply to the scar, which eventually turns black and falls off.

The only drawback is that it hurts like hell and can cause further disfigurement and possible unintended necrosis.

So don't do it.
