DIY Heated Bike Handle Grips - Awesome Idea!!!

The heater is made by inserting kanthal wire into thin layers of soft polymer clay. I then 3D printed a protective casing for the electronics, and a nylon grip to keep everything in place. \r

I was impressed by the performance. In just a minute the temperature rose from 22 degrees to 40 degrees. This is a perfect project for someone that use their bike during the cold months! Or even for motorcycles. \r

The Li-ion batteries are three 2600mAh connected in , to make a 12V (3S) battery. The battery is connected to a BMS (battery management system), for safety. The BMS is then connected to a temperature controller, that based on the temperature measured from its probe, will turn on/off the relay. \r
