Mariah Carey's Former Manager Sues for Breach of Contract Carey’s former manager, Stella Stolper, is suing the 48-year-old singer for violating the U.S. Civil Rights Act, as well as the Fair Employment and Housing Act. Carey axed Stolper from her staff last fall after hiring the former comedian in 2013. Sources confirm the two were close friends, and Stolper even worked as an executive producer on E!’s ‘Mariah’s World.’ The pair released a statement following the news of their split: “After working together for almost three years, Mariah Carey and Stella [née Bulochnikov] have determined that it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day-management.” Stolper is also seeking “damages in an amount to be proved at trial, plus interests and costs,” according to New York Daily News.
