Tuesday's market wrap
There was a strong close on Wall Street Tuesday,... as Netflix and UnitedHealth earnings impressed traders,... boosting optimism for the first-quarter season of corporate reports.
The Dow Jones went up 213-points, or zero-point-8 percent to 24,786 and the S&P 500 added over one-percent to 2,706.
The Nasdaq gained one-point-7 percent at 7,281-- on the back of Netflix popping over nine-percent, hitting an all-time high after the online video streaming service reported a rise in subscribers for a fourth straight quarter.
Shares in Korea were mixed though,...
The benchmark KOSPI closed one-tenth-of-a-percent lower at 2,453,... while the junior bourse KOSAQ was up half-a-percent at 901.
