MotoGP rider Marc Marquez is no stranger to racing in Texas - the Spaniard has won the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin for five years straight. But this year he was involved in a different kind of racing. To get a true taste of the Lone Star State, Marquez travelled to Dripping Springs Ranch, where he met professional barrel racer, Jackie Ganter. Ganter walked Marquez through the sport of barrel racing, a traditional rodeo event that involves riding a horse around three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern as fast as possible. To add a little friendly competition, Ganter ran the barrels on her horse Gatsby, and invited Marc to see if he could beat her time. Completely unaccustomed to horses, Marquez chose a different steed to saddle up and race through the course – a Honda CRF450 dirt bike.
