Toyota Making Big Investment In Mississippi Plant

On Monday, Toyota said it will invest $170 million at an assembly plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi to build the 12th-generation Corolla sedan. The car will reportedly move to a new platform known as Toyota New Global Architecture and production lines at the plant will be replaced as part of the investment. In a statement, Sean Suggs, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi said, "We will be able to respond quicker and be more flexible in order to meet market demands down the road.
