Chicago legend Marvin Smith sings his Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca anthem, "Have More Time". Marvin left the group The El-Dorados to become the lead singer of The Artistics and sang lead on the all time classic "I'm Gonna Miss You". Later going solo, he enjoyed more Northern Soul success with this song, "Have More Time", plus on Curtis Mayfield's own label, "Who Will Do Your Running Now". In 2003 he appeared in front of two and a half thousand people at the Togetherness Weekender in Fleetwood to rapturous acclaim. The video of "I'm Gonna Miss You" by The Artistics, with Marvin on lead, is one of my most watched videos on YouTube. Back in early 1999, this was yet another legendary Northern Soul smash that we filmed for "The Strange World Of Northern Soul". This was first recorded in 1967 and then we recut it in 1999 when we were filming our marathon six disc documentary. In total there is twenty four hours of specially recorded performances of all the classics. This documentary is still available to buy now! Otis Leavill, the much missed late great Otis Leavill, brought us to Marvin and asked him to film for us. So here is this special one time performance just for our ground breaking Encyclopedia Britannica of Northern Soul.
