Philadelphia legend, Major Harris, sings his Northern Soul classic, "Call Me Tomorrow". Harris was in the group The Delfonics and went on to have a huge hit with "Love Won't Let Me Wait", after leaving group. The song peaked at #5 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. In his early career he sang with groups such as The Charmers, The Teenagers, The Jarmels and Nat Turner's Rebellion. He recorded a few solo 7" records on the Laurie and Okeh labels. When his success as a soloist subsided, Harris returned to The Delfonics and continued to tour. Major was cousin to the late Philadelphia record producer and arranger Norman Harris. In 1998 after a lot of searching, we managed to track Major down to make this fantastic one time performance for our DVD documentary "The Strange World of Northern Soul".
