Herb Ward - Strange Change

Another legendary Northern Soul smash and Blackpool Mecca anthem, that we filmed for "The Strange World Of Northern Soul". This was recorded in 1965 for Chess Records, on their Argo Record label. I first discovered it in 1973 and brought just one copy back to Blackpool Mecca, where I was the first person to ever play it in England. It then became an absolute icon of the Northern Soul Scene. In 1999, after much searching, our friend Dave Brown, in Philadelphia tracked down Herb through his own contacts, and Dave so kindly filmed this priceless footage for us with his own video camera to make this one time performance especially for us.
