Detroit legend Theresa Lindsay sings her Northern Soul anthem from the days of Blackpool Mecca, "I'll Bet You", which she co-wrote with George Clinton. The song was later covered by The Jackson Five. The song was originally released on the classic Detroit label, Golden World. Theresa had previously had a hit on Correc-Tone Records in 1963 with "Gotta Find A Way". We had two attempts to film this song, as Theresa was in a somewhat "colourful" mood on the first occasion we tried it. Back in early 1999 we tracked Theresa down to film her for "The Strange World Of Northern Soul". This soul smash was first recorded in 1965. We are so glad she could be a apart of our ground breaking Encyclopedia Britannica of Northern Soul.
