Desk Cable Management Guide - Part 1 - With Ikea Signum

Hey Im getting ready to film my room tour and wanted to do a major overhaul of my crazy messy cable management first.\r

So I picked up a few things on amazon to get everything organized.\r
\r

Cablox Cord & Cable Organizer - \r
Cable Matters DVI-D Dual Link Cable - \r
Plugable Power new 5-Port 36W USB Smart Charger - \r
Velcro Usa 50-Pack Velcro Ties - Quantity 6 - \r
Juiced Systems Aluminum USB 3.0 10 Port USB HUB - \r
SUPERNIGHT 10M RGB LED w/Remote Music Controller + 24V 5A Power Supply - \r

The velcro ties go a long way to keep the the cables organized. Getting them out of sight is another matter. But you dont have to pay for cable ties. Use the bread ties and save all of the ties that come with your electronics and kids toys.\r
\r
The Signums from Ikea installed super easy into my Linnmon desks.\r
\r
The method I came up with after looking at how other people did things was:\r
Power strips, cables, bricks and bundles on the inside.\r
Data, signal, etc. cables on the outside (USB, av, speaker).\r
\r
Keeping the cables just kind of laid on top of each other doesnt look all that great but means you can easily pull a single cable through the basket to route it or move the device.\r
\r
Even if you dont think this is how you would personally use the cable organizer I hope you can take away some points on how you can improve your cable management!\r
