Cauvery row hearing SC directed water secy to be present in court

After the Karnataka polls, all eyes are now on the centre as it has been asked by the Supreme Court to submit the draft scheme for Cauvery water sharing today. In the last hearing, the apex court had directed the union water secretary to present the draft scheme in the SC. The SC had earlier pulled up the centre for ‘sheer contempt' of its verdict. The centre had cited that the union cabinet had not met due to the K’taka elections and asked for 10 days to finalise the scheme.
