The Pirelli Trophy race started in the early afternoon but was immediately characterized by a series of accidents, thanks to the wet asphalt due to the rain that fell throughout the morning. David Fumanelli, who started from pole position, ended up spinning, and triggered the chaos behind. In fact, some drivers went wide to avoid hitting Rossocorsa's 488 Challenge. Among them the German Thomas Loefflad (Gohm Motorsport BB) who just got on the wheels on extraturf lost control of his 488 Challenge and ended up violently against the barriers. The race has long been suspended with a red flag and is resumed only an hour later. On the second via Nielsen (Formula Racing) he managed to maintain the first position ahead of Florian Merckx (Baron Motorsport) and Bjorn Grossmann (Octane 126) who soon managed to take the second position. Nielsen remains the championship leader with a few points ahead of Grossmann.
