U.S. Army Soldiers with C Company, 1st Battalion, 21st InfantryRegiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, conduct a combat patrol and movement to contact drill during Exercise Balikatan, on Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Philippines, May 12, 2018. The 42-mile facility, located in Tarlac, is the main bombing range of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and is primarily used for aerial combat training, which include bombing and strafing practice, as well as ground unit maneuver and live fire exercises. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
