Live Blood Analysis What`s in Your Blood? Microscopy
This video contains some different clips I've collected from my own blood.
In live blood microscopy you carefully withdraw blood from a capillary vein and place it under a microscope.
The blood needs to attach itself to a sterile glass slide and not be pressed on to it, that will destroy the cells.
The slide is carefully laid down on a second slide to trap the blood in between and create an air tight environment.
This is done within seconds so that the blood and immune system cells will have as little exposure to oxygen as possible.
Here the blood and immune system will continue their lives as they would in your body. The red blood cells will float around and the immune system will collect trash, inspect other blood cells and fight to keep the blood healthy.
The blood will live between these slides for over 24 hours before the lack of oxygen, acidity, fungus etc will make it break down.
By studying the blood while its alive and active we get so much information about its health!
The best way to know if your immune system does its job is to watch it in action.
