Floodwaters rushed into businesses and homes and washed cars down the roads in Ellicott City, Maryland, on Sunday, May 27.This video shows the scene at Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant on Main Street.A flash flood emergency was issued for the city and multiple water rescues were reported, the National Weather Service said. Nearly an hour after the first alert was issued, officials said the water was receding, but warned people to stay away from the area.Similar flash flooding devastated the city’s downtown area in August 2016.
