Carmen ha nella voce il fuoco del suo sud, è nata a Comiso (Ragusa) nel 1994. Inquieta e poliedrica, sempre in cerca di un’esperienza, nella vita come nella musica cerca una spiritualità autentica e profonda, al di là di religioni ed etichette.
Vero talento naturale, inizia a cantare giovanissima prendendo a modello la potenza canora di Whitney Houston e la veracità di Domenico Modugno; predilige il soul, il blues e il jazz contemporaneo. Ama anche gli anni ’60 italiani e il rock melodico ma è attratta in particolare dalla “musica nera” che prende ad esempio per la libertà e l’istintività espressiva.
Nei suoi live emergono chiaramente le qualità canore, la spigliata vitalità interpretativa e un rapporto empatico e speciale con il pubblico.
Nel 2016 partecipa alle selezioni di “The Voice”, collabora con la compagnia di ballo Nu’Art, vince Area Sanremo partecipando alla trasmissione “Sarà Sanremo” in diretta su Rai1 ed inizia un'importante collaborazione con Carlo Marrale, autore e fondatore dei Matia Bazar.
Il suo primo album intitolato “Al centro esatto di una nuvola” è uscito nell’estate 2017
Carmen in her voice has the fire of her south, she was born in Comiso (Ragusa) in 1994. Restless and multifaceted, always looking for an experience, in life as in music she seeks an authentic and profound spirituality, beyond religions and labels.
A true natural talent, he began to sing very young, taking as a model the singing power of Whitney Houston and the veracity of Domenico Modugno; he prefers soul, blues and contemporary jazz. He also loves the Italian 60s and melodic rock but is particularly attracted by "black music" which takes as an example for freedom and expressive instinctiveness.
In his live shows clearly the singing qualities, the discreet interpretive vitality and an empathic and special relationship with the crowd.
In 2016 he participates in the selections of "The Voice", he collaborates with the Nu'Art dance company, he wins Area Sanremo participating in the transmission "Will Sanremo" live on Rai1 and begins an important collaboration with Carlo Marrale, author and founder of Matia Bazaar.
His first album entitled "At the exact center of a cloud" was released in the summer of 2017
