While it has been reported that North Korea and the U.S. are carrying out negotiations for a summit via two channels,... there seems to be an additional one involving the CIA.
According to Associated Press,... a (quote) "CIA Team",... which they assume is the CIA Korea Mission Center,... is meeting with its North Korean counterpart,... a team headed by Kim Yong-chol, Vice Chairman of North Korea's Workers' Party.
The Korea Mission Center established by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo while he was CIA chief,... and headed by Andrew Kim,... is known to have played a central role in laying the groundwork for a North Korea-U.S. summit.
