Uber, Waymo In Talks About Self-Driving Partnership

On Thursday Reuters reported that Uber Technologies is talking with Alphabet Inc's autonomous driving unit Waymo about using its technology on Uber’s ride-hailing app. Uber's Chief Executive said that Uber’s relationship with Waymo was “getting better” and were having discussions about a possible partnership. Uber's CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said he believes the technology behind autonomous driving will be shared and any leading company will need to partner with Uber because of its network of smartphone users.
