Artist creates poppy day memorial

An artist has created an amazing Remembrance Day project using tens of thousands of poppies to make four stunning installations. Martin Waters, 58, has produced poppy sculptures to mark the event for the past three years but his most ambitious attempt incorporates four churches across Yorkshire and 30,000 paper flowers. The first installation, "The Last Stand", went up on October 24 in Doncaster Minster, South Yorks., and includes a 6ft poppy-covered soldier emerging from the ground surrounded by an oval of flowers.
