A quick video to demonstrate how to make sambal belacan. Sambal belacan is a traditional Malay side dish that compliments any meal, very popular in South East Asia.\r
It consist of red and green chili padi (aka Birds Eye Chilli), belacan (shrimp paste), some warm water and lastly lime juice to give it that tangy flavour.\r
Sambal belacan is often eaten with rice and Ulam, a form of mix vegetable commonly found in SEA. It gives the food its spicy Ummph! or kick to an otherwise bland dish of rice and vegetables.\r
Be warned: It is extremely hot & spicy so use it sparingly.
