How to make a beer can chicken on the grill. This beer can chicken recipe couldnt be easier and we are making it on a gas grill. You can use this same recipe on a weber or other charcoal grill.\r
\r
Start out by applying your chicken seasoning/dry rub to the (cleaned) whole chicken.\r
\r
Open a can of your favorite beer. Pour about 1/2 the beer out (or drink it). Sit the chicken on the can and grill over indirect heat on your grill. Use the same process whether you are using a gas or charcoal grill.\r
\r
Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Be careful removing the chicken from the grill (as the beer can will be quite hot).\r
