Bargain Store Project #28 Styrofoam Plate Hovercraft

In thisI use styrofoam plates to make a hovercraft. I have attempted to make hovercrafts in previous s of this . Each time I have had to use a separate power supply because they would not lift off the ground with the weight of batteries on board. This time I have limited success and the hovercraft does ually move with batteries onboard. It does not move much but it is a positive improvement on the previous attempts. I need to find more powerful motors or lighter batteries however I expect they would be expensive and I am trying to use parts from bargain store products as far as possible.\r

Remember, these bargain stores also sell plenty of toys for £1 or less so the project is not about making a cheap toy. It is about taking something and hacking or repurposing it to do something other than what it was designed to do. I am using bargain store products to limit my initial outlay.\r
