Tamil Nadu govt faces the heat as protests over the proposed 8-lane Greenfield Highway project from Salem to Chennai continues to escalate with three arrests having been made till date. The opposition DMK has wasted no time in slamming EPS for going against people. Reminding EPS govt of the anti-sterlite protest in Tuticorin, Stalin warned that the DMK would stage a state-wide protest if the police continue to raid houses of protesters. Meanwhile the state govt continues to defend its actions with fisheries minister D Jayakumar urging people to make a representation to the govt if they face are any problems instead of agitating.
