Marc Evans classic soulful house anthem gets a hefty dose of reworking from some of the DJ/Producers/Remixers of the moment. First off Yass gives the track a double dose of production trickery, from the intro of his main mix you know you're in for an aural feast. The initial horns underlined with threatening edgy bass, make way for the vocals we all know and love so well, introduce the classic deep dark piano, season with a touch of strings and throw in some bongo's for good measure. Then break it all down and whip up all of the above into one large crescendo of potential energy before bursting. Next up his Dub Mix has even more attitude, this after hours version complements the dark piano sound and loses much of the vocals, creating a track destined to be a late night floor filler. This ones going to go off'.everywhere'.and you'll wanna be there when it does. Another double dose, this time from DJ Spen, his first mix brings the track up to date while still keeping its platforms firmly rooted in the 70's. Don't fix it if it ain't broke is the order of the day on this remix '" classic soulful funky house. DJ Spens Deadly Love Potion mix is aptly titled. Initially you're lead to believe that he has ripped all the soul out of this track before combining his whacked out percussion, vocal yelps and techy chime interpretation with all the soul of the original. Ultimately two songs, definitely beating as one. The last two mixes don't stray to far from the original embracing its disco vibe wholeheartedly with sweeping strings funky guitar and the obligatory bongo. This delicious slice of Disco pie would not be out of place on an episode of Charlies Angels, think Studio 54, think Travolta-esqe moves and just get down'..
