France Pays Homage To Holocaust Survivor Simone Veil With Pantheon Burial

According to a report by Reuters, France honored the late Simone Veil, a Holocaust survivor best known for legalizing abortion in the 1970s, as she joins the nation's greatest citizens interred in the Pantheon in Paris. Veil, who died last year on June 30th at the age of 89, was laid to rest beside her husband in the crypt of the Pantheon mausoleum, alongside other national icons like author Alexander Dumas and philosopher Voltaire.
