चुराचांदपुर : दिलचस्प इतिहास के बीच Romance का तड़का
चुराचांदपुर भारत के पूर्वोत्तर राज्य मणिपुर का वो अज्ञात स्थल है, जिसके विषय में ज्यादा ट्रैवलर्स को नहीं पता। स्थानीय भाषा में 'लमका' कहा जाने वाला यह शहर कई मायनों में महत्व रखता है। चुराचांदपुर का सिर्फ वर्तमान ही नहीं बल्कि इतिहास भी काफी दिलचस्प है। माना जाता है कि पूर्वोत्तर के रास्ते जपानियों ने भारत में प्रवेश किया था तो उस दौरान यहां काफी गोलाबारी हुई थी। यह शहर उस दौरान काफी क्षतिग्रस्त हुआ था, जिसे कई साल लगे अपने अस्तित्व को फिर से वापस लाने में। चारों तरफ से पहाड़, नदी-घाटी और झरनों से घिरा यह स्थल राजधानी शहर इम्फाल से 59 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है।
चुराचांदपुर भ्रमण की शुरूआत आप जिले के एक खूबसूरत गांव नांगलोई से कर सकते हैं। यह एक विशेष गांव है, जो 1950 में जांगखोहेन होकीप द्वारा बसाया गया था। इस गांव का सबसे मुख्य आकर्षण यहां मौजूद प्रसिद्ध नांगलोई झरना है, जो सैलानियों का यहां आने के लिए मजबूर करता है। इस एक मात्र झरने के को देखने के लिए दूर-दूर पर्यटक खींचे चले आते हैं।
