Performance enhancing drugs is a major issue in all sports, but in boxing where athletes put their lives on the line every time they step into the ring, it is particularly important. Smitty spoke with Dr. Margaret Goodman, who was a longtime ringside doctor in Nevada and now has started the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. The goal of VADA is to not only provide an comprehensive testing program but just as importantly, to educate fighters and the fight community on the risks of what they are putting in their bodies.
