I was reading the little booklet in the jewel case for this CD, and found a few tidbits.
Canonically, Fire Bomber American was the original band from the fleet Macross 11. They wrote all the songs, and Basara just translated them into Japanese and added his own flair to the lyrics.
Also, the american Mylene and Basara (their names aren't listed) are married. The american Basara wrote this song as his way of proposing to her. That's so sweet~.
