The country's first female deputy prime minister, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, will remain Putrajaya's number two even if she is no longer PKR president, said party vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar.
"She will still be deputy prime minister, she will have to make sure work is cut-out for her and (she must) address many issues.
"I'm looking forward to her focussing on that particular role," Nurul Izzah told Malaysiakini in an interview on Tuesday.
