श्रावण मास चल रहा है। श्रावण मास में शिव आराधना का विशेष महत्व होता है। श्रावण मास में प्रत्येक श्रद्धालु भगवान शिव का अभिषेक पूजा आदि कर अपना जीवन धन्य करते हैं। भगवान शिव की पूजा में अभिषेक, भस्म एवं बिल्वपत्र का विशेष महत्व होता है। अक्सर देखने में आता है कि सही जानकारी के अभाव में श्रद्धालुगण इन निर्माल्य को विसर्जन करते समय किसी नदी तट या ऐसी जगह रख देते हैं, जहां इनका अनादर होता है। हमारे शास्त्रों में किसी भी देवी-देवता के निर्माल्य का अपमान करना घोरतम पाप माना गया है।
