Crows Trained to Pick Up Garbage At France Theme Park

Crows Trained to Pick Up Garbage At France Theme Park Six crows have been trained to pick up cigarettes and other small pieces of garbage at France's Puy du Fou park. Specifically, the birds are Rooks, a member of the crow family that also includes the carrion crow, jackdaw
and raven. Rooks are considered to be "particularly intelligent," and in the right circumstances "like to communicate with humans." The birds will be encouraged to clean up the park through the use of a small box that delivers a treat each time they deposit rubbish. The birds were reportedly trained by one of the park's falconers, Christophe Gaborit. The park notes that the rooks are not replacing any human cleaning staff.
