An aspiring goalkeeper who suffered brain damage playing football just nine months ago aced his GCSE results - achieving the equivalent of four A**s (9s) and three A*s (8).
Alex Davis, 16, achieved top marks in his results despite missing three months of year 11 when he was kicked in the head during a match for Cheltenham Town u16s.
