Prison reform supporters marched through Florida on August 21, to show solidarity with prisoners protesting against human rights abuses in prisons across the US and Canada.The strikes were launched in response to the deaths of seven inmates at Lee Correctional Institution in South Carolina in May.The Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee, a US based campaign group, has called for an end to forced or underpaid prison labor; poor prison conditions and life-long sentences, among other demands.Some prisoners in Folsom State prison, California, have gone on hunger strike as part of the action, the Guardian reported.These videos show protesters marching through Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
