Residents of Oahu watched the churning sea and cloudy skies in view of Diamond Head on Thursday, August 23, awaiting the expected arrival of Hurricane Lane. The storm slowed to a crawl about 170 miles south of Honolulu, Hawaii, on Thursday.The slow movement meant pounding rain.
