In November 2014, we caught up with American boulderer Jimmy Webb ahead of the La Sportiva Legends Only Competition to ask him some of your questions. As well as fielding questions on everything from his beard to his hatred of stomach crunches, Jimmy also reflects on competition in climbing. Asked what he knows about climbing now that he wishes he'd known years ago, he replies: "That it's not competitive." With ubiquitous world cup coverage and numerous stand-alone events, it's easy to convince yourself that climbing is more competitive than ever. What Jimmy reminds us here is that climbing is a sport where there is really little point in comparing your own performance with that of others.
