Caroline North may not be a name that you're familiar with, but if her current record in the greater ranges is anything to go by, she's a climber you'll be hearing a lot more from in the coming years. In early 2015, Caroline along with her partner Christina Huber made the first all-female free ascent of Cerro Torre. The peak had previously been climbed by Monika Kambic and Tanja Grmovsek, who ascended using aid by the infamous Compressor Route in 2005. Caroline and Christina by contrast climbed the 'Via dei Ragni' free and unsupported. Caroline recently visited us in Chamonix to talk, Patagonia, Cerro Torre and future plans.
