Tropical Storm Gordon made landfall near the Alabama-Mississippi border late on Tuesday, September 4, bringing heavy winds, intense rain and storm surges.According to the Washington Post winds were nearly at hurricane force, with winds of up to 70 mph recorded by The National Hurricane Centre as the storm made landfall.The Weather Channel reported at least one person had died and around 21,000 were without power.In this video, taken from the Phoenix West II hotel, strong winds and rain are seen whipping the shore at Orange Beach.
