US fighter jet makes breathtaking swoop Welsh valleys

An F-15 fighter jet has been filmed swooping through the Mach Loop valleys in North Wales.
The video shows the F-15E Strike Eagle carrying out various twisting manoeuvres against the pretty backdrop of the valleys.
The valleys, near the towns of Dolgellau and Machynlleth, are regularly used for low-level flight training. At times aircraft fly as low as 250 feet (76 metres) from the nearest terrain.
The clip, filmed on September 7, shows the plane flying through the valleys leaving two smoke trails in its wake.
The UK hosts the US F-15 fighter jets at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.
“It’s totally different from airshows where you know when they are coming," explains the filmer. "Here your excitement builds up when the radios announce low-level flying. You've got seconds to get ready with your equipment.
