A German consumer protection group is bringing a class action lawsuit against VW.
According to Reuters, the association vzbz made the announcement on Tuesday.
Alongside auto club ADAC, the group will sue over VW’s emissions software manipulation.
Known as "emissionsgate," the Volkswagen scandal began in September 2015.
That's when the United States Environmental Protection Agency first took action.
The EPA issued a notice of violation of the Clean Air Act to the German automaker.
